Author’s tour ‘In the footsteps of the Great Silk Road’
This exclusive tour invites you to travel to the most interesting historical and cultural places of Kazakhstan. Travel along the Great Silk Road and discover the secrets of ancient cities, trading caravanserais and historical monuments.
During the tour you will visit:
– Taraz city – one of the important centres of the Silk Road, where you can see the ancient architectural heritage.
– Turkestan – a sacred city, famous for the mausoleum of Khoja Ahmet Yasawi, this place was an important centre of Islam.
– Almaty is the cultural and economic centre of Kazakhstan, where you can enjoy modern and historical sights.
– The Charyn canyon is a marvellous creation of nature, it is often called ‘Little Grand Canyon’.
The peculiarity of the excursion is acquaintance with local traditions, national cuisine and rich culture of Kazakh people. At each stop you will be welcomed by master-classes of local craftsmen, national music and dance performances.
